Please don’t hesitate to let our therapist know if you feel too warm or too cold, if the room lighting is too bright, or if you’d like the pressure adjusted — lighter or deeper. If something isn’t working for you at any point, we truly encourage you to speak up so we can make sure your experience is perfectly relaxing and enjoyable.

You will be required to fill out a new client consultation form to provide us with your details, general questions to establish your massage preferences, allergies, medication history and health conditions that we should know of, so the therapist can adapt the session to your specific needs and requests. It is important to list any allergies so that our therapist is aware of your needs to use a different oil/treatment ingredient during the session.

We recommend not washing your hair for 48 hours before your booking to enjoy the full benefits of your Head Spa. This allows us to deeply cleanse your scalp, remove buildup, and rebalance natural oils — leaving your scalp feeling fresh, healthy, and your hair incredibly soft and smooth after the treatment.

Yes, for ladies who are pregnant, they are still able to enjoy our services. You may lie on your side at all times during the session. Should you require a different position, do let our therapist know so that they can accommodate you better!

Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Any cancellation requested less than 48 hours prior to your appointment are subject to forfeiting of 50% reservation fee. We recognize the time of our clients and therapists is valuable and have implemented this policy for this reason

All spa appointments have been designed to allow appropriate time for full enjoyment of each service. Your late arrival may limit our ability to offer the fullest possible experience. We will always accommodate you if possible, however if you arrive 15 minutes past your appointment time, the treatment time will be cut short. Hence, we highly encourage customers to arrive 10 minutes early.

We are plagued by no-shows and last-minute cancellations which put an enormous strain on our very limited manpower and space. As such, we are collecting a deposit of 50% per booking to secure your booking. This amount can be used to offset your bill and you may reschedule or ask for a refund if you change your mind 48 hours before your scheduled appointment.
Please note that the reservation fee will be forfeited if you do not show up for your scheduled appointment.

Yes, celebrate with us at Nia Spa! We love to host events and group bookings such as bridal parties, birthdays, retirements, and team-building time. Let us know what you have in mind and our Coordinators may assist with simple decorations, alcoholic beverage selections, and possible catering. Group specials may also be available for parties of 6 to 10. Please email hello@niaspa.co.nz. and indicate preferred dates, number of guests attending, primary and secondary services for each guest, and any preferences for a male or female service provider.
